Dr. Ariel Pablos-Méndez, Assistant Administrator for Global Health, Child and Maternal Survival Coordinator. Dr. Pablos-Méndez began his public health career at Columbia University working on the emergence of multi-drug resistant tuberculosis in New York City in 1991; in 1997 he led the Global Surveillance Project on Anti-Tuberculosis Drug Resistance at the World Health Organization (WHO).
He also served as Director of Knowledge Management at WHO in Geneva from 2004 to 2007, working to bridge the know-do gap in public health and promoting e-Health in the developing world.
