Lou Ferrigno is an American bodybuilder and actor. Ferrigno has appeared in such television shows and movies as The Incredible Hulk Pumping Iron with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Franco Columbu Sinbad of the Seven Seas and Hercules. He started training at 13 and won his first major title NABBA Mr. Universe in 1972 becoming the youngest ever winner at 21.
He then went on to win the IFBB Mr. Universe in 1973. In 1974 his first attempt at Mr. Olympia saw him come 3rd. In the next year he again came 3rd and his attempt to beat Arnold Schwarzenegger was the subject of the 1977 docu-film Pumping Iron. Following this Ferrigno retired from bodybuilding competition for many years.
