Yuval Noah Harari's book 21 Lessons for the 21st Century, which he published in 2018, delves deeply into the past, the present, and the future. Here, he paused to assess the state of the world at the time while concentrating on the most pressing issues at hand: What is actually occurring?

Homo Deus was awarded the Handelsblatt German Economic Book Award in 2017 for being "the most insightful and impactful economic book of the year," and the Jagiellonian University in Krakow named it the "Wise Book of the Year" in 2019. The Polonsky Prize for Originality and Creativity was given to Yuval Noah Harari twice, in 2009 and 2012.

He received the Moncado Award for exceptional military history writing from the Society for Military History in 2011. Prof. Harari gives talks on the subjects covered in his books and articles all over the world and has contributed to papers that have appeared in The Guardian, Financial Times, New York Times, The Atlantic, The Economist, and Nature magazine.
