Jeremi Suri is a renowned historian and professor specializing in international history, foreign policy, leadership, and American democracy. He holds the Mack Brown Distinguished Chair for Leadership in Global Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, with joint appointments in the Department of History and the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs. Suri earned his B.A. from Stanford, M.A. from Ohio University, and Ph.D. from Yale. He has authored or edited eleven books on modern politics and U.S. foreign policy, including “Civil War by Other Means: America's Long and Unfinished Fight for Democracy” (2022).
