She was previously the head of consumer safety and sustainability at Consumers Union, Consumer Reports' policy and advocacy arm. She was in charge of all Consumer Reports' safety testing programs and risk assessments, as well as serving as the primary spokesman on these topics, turning complicated scientific ideas into meaningful consumer advice and policy suggestions.
