Lauren Fix Biography

Lauren Fix, the Car Mentor, is a nationally recognised television automotive skilled and consumer authority on new and used cars and trucks, automotive car care, driving skills, and repair and safety issues. Fix is the host and automotive expert for Talk 2 DIY Automotive, a Do-It-Yourself Network show that provides in-depth demonstrations and auto repair tips. Her two broadcast network segments are The Car Coach (car care tips) and His Turn–Her Turn (car reviews from a male and female perspective). She recently toured with O Magazine as part of Oprah Winfrey's "Live Your Best Life Tour," where she served as their automotive expert, providing advice and consumer information. She is currently working on a new book titled Lauren's Guide to Loving Your Car. Fix is the automotive editor of YourLifeMagazine.com, as well as a contributor to Motor Trend, Hot Rod, Car Craft, The Car Connection.com, USA Today, Good Housekeeping, Woman's World, and Self. She also wrote Driving Ambitions: A Complete Guide to Amateur Auto Racing and Wheel and Tire Performance Handbook. She is included in The Yearbook of Specialists, Authorities, and Spokespersons. She is the spokesperson for the "Be Car Care Aware" campaign, a consumer awareness campaign that promotes the benefits of regular vehicle care, maintenance, and repair. Fix has appeared as a guest expert on Oprah, TODAY, The View, CNN, FOX News, MSNBC, Inside Edition, The Early Show, NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox, WB, UPN, The Weather Channel, ESPN, Discovery, B. Smith Style and NPR.
Fix has been involved with the automotive industry all her life. Her degree is in management with a strong engineering foundation and she is a long-standing member of the Society of Automotive Engineers. She owns Automotive Aspects Inc., a consulting firm that provides media consulting and broadcast messaging strategy services. She also sits on the Board of Directors for Classic Tube.
Fix is a 40 Under 40 Business Award Winner. She received the 2006 Stevie Award for Women in Business for Best Marketing Campaign.
