Hannah Lucas, a 16-year-old high school student, co-created the NotOK app. When she was dealing with depression after being diagnosed with a chronic condition, she and her younger brother, Charlie, built the app, a digital panic button for adolescents that stores up to five trusted contacts, with a love for mental health advocacy and entrepreneurship.
In 2018, the twins received the mPower Award from Mental Health America, the Young Leader Award from the National Alliance on Mental Illness Georgia, and the National Black History Blacks in Tech Award from the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
