In 1978, he became a member of the Chapman faculty, and in 1985, he was named head of the A. Gary Anderson Center for Economic Research. Macroeconomics, financial markets, and regional economics are among his research interests. Econometric Analysis - An Applications Approach and The Practice of Econometrics with EViews are two textbooks co-authored by Dr. Adibi.
His work has appeared in publications such as The Los Angeles Times and the Orange County Register, as well as professional journals including International Advances in Economic Research, the Journal of Private Enterprise, and the Quarterly Journal of Business and Economics. Dr. Adibi is the Association for University Business and Economic Research's former president.
