Zaria Forman, who presently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York, was born in South Natick, Massachusetts. She obtained a BS in Studio Arts from Skidmore College in New York after completing her studies at the Student Art Centers International in Florence, Italy. Zaria Forman uses pastel paintings to depict climate change.
She visits isolated areas of the globe to gather photographs and inspiration for her art, which is shown all around the world. On numerous Operation IceBridge missions over Antarctica, Greenland, and Arctic Canada, she has flown with NASA. Publications like The New York Times and National Geographic have featured her work. The Smithsonian Magazine and The Wall Street Journal.
