Tucker was 17 years old when he started to lose his eyesight and was given the diagnosis with Leber's Hereditary Optic Neuropathy, a rare condition (LHON). Tucker quickly lost between 70% and 80% of his centre vision in both of his eyes.
Tucker is a stronger swimmer and an inspiration to others thanks to his determination to not let his disability define who he is.
