Tina Byles Williams Biography

Tina Byles Williams is XponanceChief ®'s Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer, and Founder. She created FIS Group, Xponancepredecessor ®'s business, 24 years ago and has over 35 years of investing expertise. Tina is the firm's Chief Investment Officer and Lead Portfolio Manager for aggressive global equities strategies. She leads the firm's Investment Committee as Chief Investment Officer, managing all investment strategy, manager search, and disposal decisions for the multi-manager strategies. Tina is generally acknowledged as a pioneer in discovering and investing in outstanding entrepreneurial investment management businesses, many of which are minority and women-owned. Tina worked as a principal and senior consultant for the financial consulting business WHP, Inc. before starting FIS Group. Tina formerly worked as the Chief Investment Officer for the City of Philadelphia's $2.5 billion Board of Pensions and Retirement. Tina was the Chief Investment Officer for the $300 million Philadelphia Gas Works Pension Fund prior to joining the Board of Pensions and Retirement. Tina is on the board of directors and leads the Investment Committee of the ICMA Retirement Corporation (ICMA-RC), a retirement services provider with over $50 billion in assets under management and administration. She also serves on the board of Vantage Trust Company, the ICMA-investment RC's advising arm. She is a community leader who serves on the Pennsylvania Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority, which monitors the financial plans of the City of Philadelphia, as well as the Center City District. Between 2011 and 2015, she served on the board of the National Women's Business Council and chaired the Research Committee. The National Women's Business Council is a federal advisory council established to provide independent advice and counsel to the President, Congress, and the U.S. Small Business Administration on economic issues affecting women business owners. Tina is the chairman and driving force behind Xponance's charitable company, A Good Measure Foundation, which provides financial literacy instruction to inner-city kids and supports initiatives that empower disadvantaged or marginalized women and children in the United States and throughout the world. Tina has received many industry awards and has been mentioned and published in a variety of national and international finance media, including the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, Institutional Investor, Bloomberg, Market Watch, Value Walk, and Pensions and Investments. She has also been on Bloomberg GO and CNBC's Squawk Box, among other business shows. Tina received her bachelor's degree from New York University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, and her master's degree in public policy with a focus on finance from Harvard University.
