American chef Tiffani Faison was in the top two in the first season of Bravo's reality competition Top Chef. Faison, who self-describes as an Army brat, was born to American parents in Germany and was reared there as well as in Boston, Massachusetts, and Northern California.

Later in the same year, she worked at the Ritz Carlton Boston Common as the Backlot's Food and Beverage Director after a brief stint as a bartender at Lucky's Lounge. The Cambridge Culinary Institute was where she studied.
