The Weeks is a Jackson, Mississippi-based indie rock group. When they were between the ages of 14 and 16, Cain Barnes, Chaz Lindsay, Cyle Barnes, Peyton Randolph, and Samuel Williams founded the band in March 2006. After two rehearsals, Ranolph of The Da Vincis quit the group; Damien Bones took his place.
Comeback Cadillac, the band's self-titled first album from the Esperanza Plantation label, was released in July 2008. The album's Sailor Song included a duet with labelmate Allie Peden that mixed southern rock and alternative. By Rilo Kiley, Some bands have cited My Morning Jacket and The Mars Volta as inspirations. In 2009, their first EP, Rumspringa, came out.
