Rappers Antoine Sir Michael Rocks Reed (originally from Matteson, Illinois) and Evan Chuck Inglish Ingersoll (originally from Mount Clemens, Michigan) make up the American hip-hop group The Cool Kids, which is based in Chicago, Illinois, and Detroit, Michigan. They are also closely associated with 10ille.
The members of The Cool Kids first came into contact in 2005 after Reed discovered an Ingersoll beat on MySpace. The two met to discuss the conditions of the beat's contract and ultimately decided to record together. Hip-hop experts of the bright age, such as Eric B. and Rakim Ingersoll, started promoting the new pair's work. XL Recordings and C.A.K.E.
