Canadian singer-songwriter Tenille Townes is well-known for her song Somebody's Daughter, which peaked at position #29 on the US Country chart. Townes released her debut full-length album, Real with Royalty Records, in 2011 at 17. She was also nominated for Female Artist of the Year at the 2011 Canadian Country Music Awards.
Townes released her second full-length album, named Light, in March 2013. Townes announced through Facebook that she signed with Columbia Nashville as a record manager on April 13, 2018. In September of the same year, Townes released Somebody's Daughter and toured as Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town's opening act.
