Taylor Ellison is the host of We Are Austin and a native Austinite. Taylor went to Washington, D.C. after graduating from the University of Texas to join Teach for America. She taught 8th grade at KIPP WILL Academy in Washington.
Taylor returned to Austin to attend the LBJ School of Public Affairs and then worked as an entertainment reporter in the city, covering culture, entertainment, and lifestyle. Taylor is happy to be back in her hometown, where she spends her days trying to help people appreciate a place that has provided her so much joy over the years.
