Susan Resnick Biography

For 27 years, journalist and writer, Susan Kushner Resnick has written for numerous publications from The Providence Journal to different unknown weeklies. She also an independent writer and contributor for magazines and her most notable feature comes from The New York Times magazine. The first memoir of PPD by an American author was her first book Sleepless Days: One Woman's Journey Through Postpartum Depression (St. Martin's Press, 2001). She also won a High Plains Literary Award, a gold medal from the Independent Book Publisher's Association and a Montana Book Award for Goodbye Wifes and Daughters (University of Nebraska Press, 2010/11) which was her second book. You Saved Me, Too, a book she wrote is expected to be published by Globe Pequot Press in October 2012. She lives with her husband and two teenagers in Massachusetts. And at Brown University, she teaches creative writing.
