SJ Tuohy Biography

Sean “SJ” Tuohy Jr. is a sports administrator and former college athlete, recognized for his family’s portrayal in the 2009 film “The Blind Side”. Born to Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy, he grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. SJ played basketball at Loyola University Maryland, earning a communications degree, and later played football at SMU, where he obtained a master’s in humanities. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in strategic leadership. His career includes roles as assistant director of football operations at Arkansas (2018–2019), director of football operations at Liberty (2020), and at UCF (2021), where he was promoted to Associate Athletics Director/Chief of Staff. From 2023, he served as executive director of UCF’s The Kingdom NIL collective, before becoming Deputy Athletic Director at Oral Roberts University in 2024.
