Sir Ronald Cohen is the Chairman of The Portland Trust and the Global Social Impact Investment Steering Group. He is a co-founder and director of Big Society Capital, Social Finance UK (2007-11), Social Finance USA, and Social Finance Israel (link is external). He was the co-founder and Chairman of Bridges Ventures (2002-2012).
He led the Social Impact Investment Taskforce (link is external), which was created during the UK's G8 leadership (2013-2015), the Social Investment Task Force (2000-2010), and the Commission on Unclaimed Assets (2005-2007). In 2012, he got the Rockefeller Innovation Award for social finance innovation. Apax Partners Worldwide LLP was co-founded by him, and he served as its Executive Chairman (1972-2005).
