With his hard-hitting tap and improvised choreography that included elements from jazz, hip-hop, be-bop, and world music, Savion Glover rocked the dance world in the late 1980s. With his role in "Black and Blue," he is among the youngest men nominated for a Tony Award.
At twelve, Glover debuted on Broadway as the lead in "The Tap Dancing Child." He performed in "Jelly's Last Jam" on Broadway alongside Gregory Hines and toured with the production. Glover appeared in the 1988 movie Tap with Hines and Sammy Davis, Jr., A current series regular on Sesame Street; he has also made appearances in Dancing in America: Tap!
