Sandra Guzmán is a multi-award-winning multimedia journalist who has worked in broadcast, print, and magazine journalism for more than two decades. She is the author of The Latina's Bible: The Nueva Latina's Guide to Love, Spirituality, Family, and La Vida, as well as The New Latina's Bible: The Modern Latina's Guide to Love, Spirituality, Family, and La Vida, which was just released (Seal Press, 2011). Her work confronts the real-world problems that many Latinas experience today with warmth, humor, and I've-been-there insight. Guzmán is the editor-in-chief of Heart & Soul, a fitness, health, and wellness magazine for women of color, as well as the former editor-in-chief of Latina magazine, the first national glossy lifestyle magazine aimed at Hispanic women in the United States. She was also a former assistant editor at The New York Post, where she oversaw over a dozen feature sections, including Tempo and a piece she started on the city's Latino culture. She has created and written hundreds of pieces on important men and women in politics, business, and the arts, as well as hundreds of stories about Latinos and Latinas.
