Ryan Potter is known for playing the lead character Mike Fukanaga in the Nickelodeon comedy-action series Supah Ninjas, which has a martial arts theme. Potter, who spoke Japanese and English well as a child, started learning White Tiger kung fu at eight and stuck with it until adolescence. His second language is English, while his primary language is Japanese.
Upon receiving a flyer at his kung fu class in 2010 announcing Nickelodeon was searching for teens to star in a new martial arts-themed program called Supah Ninjas, Potter launched his acting career at the age of 15. After thinking about acting for a few days, Potter decided to audition.
