Ronald Kessler is a journalist from the United States who has written 20 nonfiction books about the Secret Service, FBI, and CIA. His works have been on the New York Times Best Seller list six times. Kessler grew raised in Belmont, Massachusetts, and was born in New York City.

From 1962 to 1964, he attended Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, before beginning a career in journalism. Kessler is a father of two children. Kessler began his career as a reporter for the Worcester Telegram in 1964, then worked for the Boston Herald for three years as an investigative reporter and editorial writer.
