Rob Scheer is a foster care advocate and the founder of Comfort Cases, a non-profit organization providing essential items to foster care children. Scheer was a foster child who lost both parents and entered the system at a young age. He was shocked that many foster children still carry their belongings in tattered trash bags.
Inspired to provide dignity to children in care, Scheer invited family and friends to help assemble cases for youth in need. This led to the first Packing Party in December 2013, marking Comfort Cases' beginning as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
