Richard Anderson is a former White House and foreign correspondent for ABC News. He covered some of the major stories of his time, including the Iranian revolution, the Falklands War, the Gulf War, and the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Anderson was also a vital member of the ABC News team that won an Emmy for its coverage of the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests. He began his career as a journalist in 1969, working for several newspapers before joining ABC News in 1971. Anderson retired from ABC News in 2008 after 37 years with the network.
