Ric Burns is an American documentary filmmaker, writer, and historian. He is the younger brother of acclaimed filmmaker Ken Burns. Ric studied at Columbia University, where he graduated with a degree in English literature. Ric Burns is best known for his work in documentary filmmaking, notably his epic series on American history.
He has directed and produced numerous films, including "New York: A Documentary Film," "The Donner Party," "Coney Island," and "The Pilgrims." He has also worked on documentaries about artists such as Eugene O'Neill and Andy Warhol and musicians such as Bob Dylan and Elvis Presley.
