Rhys Wakefield is an Australian actor best known for his roles in the films "The Purge" and "The Black Balloon." He was born in Cairns, Australia, in 1988 and began acting at a young age. Wakefield made his screen debut in the Australian television series "Don't Blame Me" in 2002.
He later appeared in several Australian films, including "The Black Balloon," for which he received critical acclaim and won the Australian Film Institute Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2008. In 2011, Wakefield made his Hollywood debut in the film "Sanctum." He starred in the horror film "The Purge" in 2013 and its sequel, "The Purge: Anarchy," in 2014.
