Rebecca Taichman is an award-winning American theater and opera director. Taichman graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Studies and later earned a Master of Fine Arts from the Yale School of Drama. Taichman has directed numerous acclaimed productions on and off-Broadway, including the Tony Award-winning plays "Indecent" and "The Oldest Boy," as well as the Pulitzer Prize-winning play "Cost of Living." She has also directed productions at regional theaters nationwide, including the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the La Jolla Playhouse. In addition to her work in theater, Taichman has directed operas, including the world premiere of "The Gospel According to Mary Magdalene" at the San Francisco Opera.
