Rebecca Parsons brings over three decades of experience in leading the development of large-scale distributed and service-based applications and integrating disparate systems. She previously served as an assistant professor of computer science at the University of Central Florida. Before joining ThoughtWorks, she completed a Director's Post Doctoral Fellowship at the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Her interests span various fields, including parallel and distributed computation, programming languages, domain-specific languages, evolutionary architecture, genetic algorithms, computational biology, and non-linear dynamical systems. Parsons holds a BS in Computer Science and Economics from Bradley University and an MS and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Rice University.
