He became the wine director for the Mina Group, overseeing the wine programs for over 20 restaurants nationwide. In addition to his work as a sommelier, Parr has also made a name for himself as a winemaker. He founded the Sandhi and Domaine de la Cote wineries in Santa Barbara County, California, where he produces high-quality Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines. Parr has received numerous accolades throughout his career, including being named one of Food & Wine's Sommeliers of the Year and Wine & Spirits' Winemaker of the Year. He is also the author of "The Sommelier's Atlas of Taste," which explores the relationship between wine and terroir.
