Nick Tarant Biography

Nick Tarant started his career producing radio, television, online banner advertising and print at DDB Worldwide Communications. As a technology sales executive, he has both marketing and communications experiencs across most messaging channels and major industry segments. He was appointed as vice president of client brands and new business when he went to Noble Communications, to better understand trade, product development and distribution channel marketing after working at the J. Walter Thompson Company and Ogilvy & Mather for a while. He was an executive team member of Saatchi & Saatchi's shopper marketing practice, a General Manager of a boutique public relations firm known as Caffeine Communication and has produced social media, print, events and broadcast campaigns with the likes of BP Amovo, Kraft Foods, Frito-Lay, McDonalds and Harley-Davidson. Tarant launched a leadership consultancy in 2007, after meeting with Steve Wymer when they were co-founders of the Florida-based American Student Government Association (ASGA) several years before. Throughout his late twenties and early thirties as a presenter and regular keynote speaker at national conferences, he wrote several articles on management theory and practice and three books. Tarant & Wymer Holdings also produced a six-part online training module strictly for branding in leadership, with Madison-based Magna Publishers in 2009. Tarant joined start-up ad tech firm, Dotomi Inc., in 2011 which was later acquired by ValueClick Inc, rebranded to Conversant, and then acquired again in 2014 for $2.3 billion dollars by Alliance Data Systems. With some others from the original Dotomi, he broke off to join New York-based, Eyeview where he’s currently vice president of sales. Tarant was elected student body president by his peers, RHA president and student body vice president from Ithaca Colleges Park School of Communications where he graduated from. He lives in the Chicago suburb of Park Ridge with his wife and children.
