Marketfield Asset Management, LLC's Chairman is Michael Shaoul. Since 2001, he has also served as CEO of Oscar Gruss & Son Incorporated and Treasurer of American Friends of Tel Aviv University. In 1996, he became Chief Operating Officer of Oscar Gruss. Mr. Shaoul headed Park Square Associates, a Manhattan-based real estate investment and management firm, from 1992 to 1996.
In 1992, he received his Ph.D. in accounting and finance from Manchester University (UK). Mr. Shaoul has written for Barron's and has been mentioned in Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, and Dow Jones Newswires on a regular basis. In a December 2011 Forbes Magazine article, Michael was named one of the 15 significant thoughts and thinkers from 2011.
