Prior to founding Calm, Smith founded Mind Candy and was the mind behind Moshi Monsters, a kid-friendly online community with 80 million registered users that later branched out into books, toys, games, magazines, music, and movies. In addition, he is the co-founder and CEO of Firebox, an online retailer of novelty goods founded in 1998.
