Matt Taibbi serves as an American author and journalist and podcaster who delivers sharp analyses of American political systems alongside media institutions and financial sectors. Matt Taibbi entered the world on March 2, 1970, in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Before starting his career as a sports journalist at The Moscow Times he worked as a freelance reporter in Russia and the former USSR. The eXile tabloid newspaper emerged in 1997 when Taibbi co-edited the publication with his team. The publication gained fame through its bold and provocative reporting style.
After moving to the United States in 2002 Taibbi started working at Rolling Stone magazine to become recognized for his political reporting and his unique writing style. The National Magazine Award in 2008 recognized his work through his columns which included his description of Goldman Sachs as "a great vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity."
