Training For Warriors was founded by Martin Rooney. Martin possesses a Master of Health Science and a Bachelor of Physical Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina and is a globally known trainer, speaker, author, and strength and conditioning pioneer. He also graduated from Furman University with a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science.
Rooney was a member of the United States Bobsled team and a four-time All-Conference and four-time MVP player in track and field at Furman. Martin began training with Renzo Gracie and began teaching athletes immediately after his introduction to MMA in the mid-1990s.
