Maame Biney is an Olympic Short Track Speedskater. Her signature race is the 500 meters. In international competition Biney won bronze in the 500 meters at the 2017 World Junior Short Track Speed Skating Championships. As well she won the America's Cup at the 2017 U.S Speedskating Short Track World Cup Qualifier. Biney is the first black woman to qualify for a U.S. Olympic speedskating team.
