Lee Thomas' broadcasting career began on Channel One News, a national news show for teens based in New York. Lee covered the Oscars for Channel One, conducted a live interview with astronauts on the International Space Station, and spent three weeks in Los Angeles during the 1991 riots.

With entertainment as his specialty, Lee went on to work for a brief time on Louisville Tonight Live, one of the country's only pm magazine-style entertainment shows at the time. Lee covered events such as the Nashville Fan Fair, the Demolition Man Movie Premiere, and, of course, the Kentucky Derby.

Soon after, Lee was hired as the entertainment and feature reporter for ABC's flagship local affiliate, WABC 7, the number one station in New York. anHe made a name for himself as an entertaining and engaging reporter.

He began his career in New York City, where he interviewed everyone from Paul Newman to Christie Brinkley and covered everything from the Grammys to the Tonys. He then moved to Detroit to work as a weekend anchor and entertainment reporter for WJBK TV.

Lee has interviewed A-list stars in Hollywood and covered some of Tinseltown's greatest moments while in Motor City. He has also received four Emmy Awards as an anchor and producer, as well as an Associated Press Award. He is a member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association and a weekday morning show anchor and entertainment guru (BFCA).

Lee Thomas was diagnosed with vitiligo, an autoimmune disease that demolishes the pigment in the skin, soon in his career. It appears as if a person is switching colors.

That could spell disaster for a television broadcasting company, but Lee says, "What I thought would be a show stopper turned out to be the biggest blessing in my life." He and his story have been featured on numerous television, radio, and media outlets around the world.

Lee's autobiography, Turning White, was published by a tiny local publisher in Metro Detroit. They were ecstatic with the amount of attention Lee's inspiring story has received since its publication. Thousands of copies of his award-winning autobiography have been sold, with more on the way.

Thousands of media outlets covered his story, allowing people all over the world to be truly inspired by his powerful story.

Lee describes his appearance and how his life has improved since the publication of the book as "surprisingly beautiful." Lee has traveled from San Diego to Milan, Italy, sharing his story and methods for combating insurmountable problems and finding success, from corporate engagements with Vanguard Investments and Google to multiple charitable organizations. His methods and experience have changed people's lives.

As Lee puts it, "This is my true calling; I am lucky to have the job of my dreams, but expressing my life experiences and seeing people become motivated to believe and change has been the most pleasurable surprise along this life journey."
