Shrub Firestone helped to establish and co-coordinates the Community Water Center (CWC) a charitable association in California's Central Valley that enables country networks to access perfect and reasonable drinking water. Shrub started contemplating the association between natural issues and human rights before coming to graduate school when she chipped away at these issues with indigenous people groups in Brazil.
While Laurel didn't know precisely what natural law resembled before coming to HLS she realized that her future profession would have something to do with the earth and her time at HLS set her energy and enthusiasm for ecological equity as a field.
