A result of a father who didn’t finish high school and a teenage mom, Kita Williams is one of five children and was born in Louisville, Kentucky. She went through several difficulties that gave her the drive and determination to keep advancing regardless of any situation.
At the age of 24, she saved up $5,000 and made the important decision to move to California in search of an internship with a national media outlet. She holds a BA in journalism from the University of Kentucky and she later received an MBA. While she was still in Kentucky, she began her career as a news reporter.
