Kerby Jean-Raymond is an American fashion designer and founder of the menswear label Pyer Moss. Since he founded Pyer Moss in 2013, he focuses the label’s efforts on the black American experience and social justice.
From sparkly beaded gown showing a black father holding his newborn to imprinted tees that read “Stop calling 911 on the culture.” At first, he faced backlash for his bluntness, but today Jean-Raymond he’s a sought after designer. In November 2018, he won the $400,000 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund and has worked with popular brands like Moet Hennessy, Fubu and HBO.
