Keenen Ivory Wayans Biography

Keenen Ivory Wayans is an actor comedian and filmmaker and he is a member of the Wayans family of entertainers. Wayans first became prominent in the 1990s through the Fox sketch comedy series “In Living Color.”
2000’s Scary Movie which Wayans directed and acted in was the highest-grossing movie directed by an African American until 2005. From 1997 to 1998 he hosted a talk show “The Keenan Ivory Wayans Show.” In 2014 Wayans was a judge on the eighth season of “Last Comic Standing.”
Wayans is a vegetarian and he promoted the diet in a public service announcement for the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine in 2006.
Wayans attended Tuskegee University on an engineering scholarship but he dropped out the semester before he would have graduated to pursue a career in comedy.
