Kath Koschel is an Australian author, keynote speaker, and founder of Kindness Factory™, a global not-for-profit inspiring acts of kindness. A former professional cricketer and Ironman competitor, her life changed dramatically after breaking her back twice and being told she might never walk again. She defied medical odds by relearning to walk three times. Tragically, she also lost her partner to suicide. These experiences inspired a 2015 solo journey across Australia relying solely on strangers’ kindness, which she documented to highlight human goodness. This led to Kindness Factory, which has logged over 7 million acts of kindness and developed curricula used in thousands of schools. A 2025 NSW Australian of the Year, Koschel’s bestselling book “Kindness” (2023) and talks focus on resilience, gratitude, and culture change.
