Kali Fajardo-Anstine is a Chicana and Indigenous author, celebrated for her vivid storytelling rooted in the American West. Her debut story collection, "Sabrina & Corina" (2019), was a finalist for the National Book Award, blending Chicano, Native American, and working-class narratives. Her novel “Woman of Light” (2022) explores a multigenerational family saga in Colorado.

Fajardo-Anstine’s work centers on marginalized voices, particularly Latina and Indigenous women, reclaiming their stories with authenticity. A Denver native, she draws from her mixed heritage (Chicana, Native American, and Filipina) to craft narratives of resilience. She holds an MFA from the University of Wyoming and has received fellowships from MacDowell and Yaddo.
