Jonathan BenderSpeaker and Booking Agent Information

He began thinking about innovation and entrepreneurship, and product invention after being influenced by Pacers owner Mel Simon, a self-made strip mall magnate. Then the light bulb went off: while people watched in a Houston park, Bender imagined a resistance-based coaching and rehabilitative services device that improved people's walking.

He evaluated the device on himself after making a prototype out of sellotape, wires, and ankle weights from a pharmacy. The device closely resembles nothing less than a familiar weightlifting belt sewn together with a seamstress he knew from the neighbourhood and relieved joint stress by reinforcing the muscle groups around it.

His injuries gradually healed while he wore the prototype, relieving the pressure on his knee caps and increasing strength in his quads, leg muscles, and calf muscles. He revealed he could not only walk again, but also play basketball. After a 4 year absence, Bender agreed to sign with the New York Knicks on Dec. 13, 2009.

On the court, he made a powerful comeback; behind the scenes, Knicks doctors were astounded to reveal that, even after harm and rehabilitative services, he had the strongest lower-body power of any player in the league.

When he was asked to return to the Knicks the following season, he turned down, preferring to focus on perfecting the device that allowed him to walk again.

In his book, The Courtside Chief Executive Officer, he explains how he took the attitude and strategy of a pro player and changed it through entrepreneurial acumen into the discovery and marketing of a landmark goods that has helped thousands of people globally rehabilitate.

In his keynote speeches, he uses slides and videos to highlight his personal experiences and business expertise, utilising the platform of his NBA experience to inspire viewers on the role of innovation and adapting to change when confronted with an unavoidable stumbling block.
