Charles Edward Greene known as Mean Joe Greene (conceived September 24, 1946) played his whole NFL profession for the Pittsburgh Steelers (1969-1981). He is considered by numerous individuals to be one of the best guarded linemen ever and was the foundation of the incredible Steel Curtain protection.
He is an individual from the Pro Football Hall of Fame and a four-time Super Bowl champion. His epithet Mean Joe Greene comes from his place of graduation the University of North Texas' athletic groups which are nicknamed the Mean Green.
