Goldfein spent her career at VMware and Facebook, where she worked on software development. At Facebook, Goldfein was in charge of engineering for a number of products, including news feed, search, pictures, and video. She was Vice President of R&D at VMware before joining Facebook, where she oversaw the production and engineering teams for VMware's desktop products.
She was formerly Director of Engineering at MessageOne, an e-mail management start-up, and started her career as a software developer at Trilogy. Goldfein graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor's degree in computer science. She is enthusiastic about scaling products, people, and businesses, as well as STEM education.
