Jeff (nicknamed Goose) is a retired American soccer defender who holds the record for the most appearances for the US national team. With five MLS championships, he presently holds the record for most by any player: three with DC United (from 1996 to 2000) and two with the San Jose Earthquakes (2001-2004).
On January 13, 1988, Agoos made his international debut for the United States against Guatemala. Jeff was the final player released from the US World Cup roster in 1994, and when he found out, he destroyed his uniform.
