Jasmin Graham is an American marine biologist, environmental educator, and social justice advocate specializing in elasmobranch (shark, skate, and ray) ecology and evolution. She holds a B.S. in Marine Biology and a B.A. in Spanish from the College of Charleston and an M.Sc. in Biological Science from Florida State University, funded by a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship.
As co-founder and CEO of Minorities in Shark Sciences (MISS), she promotes diversity, supporting women of color in marine science through fully-funded research and education programs. Her research focuses on smalltooth sawfish movement and hammerhead shark phylogeny, emphasizing community-led conservation. Graham authored “Sharks Don’t Sink” (2024), a memoir blending science and social justice, and hosts PBS's “Terra’s Sharks Unknown”. A 2021 WWF Conservation Leadership Award recipient, she’s been featured in National Geographic, The New York Times, and The Guardian.
