Inga Beale Biography

Inga became the Chief Executive Officer of Lloyd's in January 2014. Prior to joining Lloyd's, Inga was the Group Chief Executive Officer of Canopius, a well-known Lloyd's managing agency, from 2012 to 2013. Inga joined Zurich Insurance Group in 2008 as a member of the Group Management Board in Zurich, where she was responsible for Mergers & Acquisitions, Organizational Transformation, and Internal Consulting until being appointed Global Chief Underwriting Officer in 2009. After 14 years with GE Insurance Solutions, Inga was named Group Chief Executive Officer of Converium in Switzerland (now part of the SCOR Group) in 2006. Inga worked for GE in different underwriting management capacities, acquiring experience in London, the United States, and France before becoming President of GE Frankona and Head of Continental Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for GE Insurance Solutions in Germany. Inga began her work as an international treaty reinsurance underwriter at the Prudential Assurance Company in London in 1982. Inga also serves on the Government's Financial Services Trade and Investment Board as an external board member.
