Hurray for the Riff Raff released a self-titled CD on Loose Music in Europe on March 21, 2011, after two self-published albums, It Doesn't Mean I Don't Love You (2008) and Young Blood Blues (2010). It was made of Segarra's favorite tracks from both albums. BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music both played songs from the band's debut album.
The band was featured in an article in The New York Times in February 2011 based on the HBO TV series Treme, with their song Daniella being included in their list of important New Orleans music. Hurray for the Riff Raff released Look Out Mama in May 2012 on their own Born to Win Records label.
